About us
The National Research Facility for Infrastructure Sensing offers scientific services to all sectors of the construction industry. From equipment access for commercially sensitive research to large-scale testing of public assets, NRFIS can work flexibly and support a range of project approaches and needs.
Our testing capabilities include:
- Structural and mechanical testing of building materials and components
- Soil characterisation and geomechanical testing
- Development of sensors and instrumentation to monitor and assess infrastructure at the asset and complex system scale
- Sensing, information retrieval, and knowledge discovery from infrastructure data
We are open to businesses of all sizes including independent professionals, SMEs, national and international businesses, as well as government agencies.
